    front callipers

    hi guy,s,,,,,,,,,,,,,, been having problems with front callipers,,,,does anybody no what other callipers off other bike,s will fit cb1 ?????? thanks

    hey bud - what kind of probs you having ? Not sure which other make calipers will fit (unless you splash out £900 on a pair of entry level Brembos?) - if you have a problem in that they're not working correctly, they can be serviced (DIY or via a refurb firm) or replacements come up quite frequently on fleabay - let us know what you're getting at and I'm sure lots of folks on the forum will be able to help...

    hi,,, ive put new sinted pads in front braided hoses,,,,lever feels nice and hard but when riding feels not right maybe spongey,, not sure I will strip pistons out and clean and re bleede,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,see if that helps,,,,,,,

    The brakes on the CB are pretty good as standard.--If yours are SPONGEY it's something you have done and not the fault of the bike.

    There's some air got into the system somehow.

    I had a very similar problem with mine after i fitted braided hoses. I tried everything to correct it tried sucking the air out and took it to a garage they got their gizmo on it and still couldn't. After about a week i found the problem. I or the Garage didn't see the bleed nipple by the break fluid and once bleed that twice all back to normal.


    Morale of the story…… Gas engineers shouldn't play with brakes ha
